Mark Kalmykov is a dedicated and client-focused Registered Massage Therapist who has been helping individuals move better, recover faster, and live with less pain since graduating from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in British Columbia in 2021. With a strong foundation in clinical massage therapy, Mark combines evidence-informed techniques with a thoughtful, personalized approach to care, ensuring that each treatment is tailored to the specific needs and goals of his clients.
Mark’s background in powerlifting, bodybuilding, and track and field gives him a unique and practical understanding of the physical demands placed on the body—whether from high-level athletic performance, recreational activity, or everyday movement. This firsthand experience allows him to effectively assess movement patterns, identify muscular imbalances, and develop targeted treatment plans that support recovery, injury prevention, and performance optimization.
He has a strong interest in treating musculoskeletal conditions such as chronic pain, sports-related injuries, postural dysfunction, and mobility restrictions. His treatments often incorporate a combination of deep tissue techniques, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and therapeutic exercise guidance to help restore function, reduce pain, and improve overall physical performance. Mark also emphasizes the importance of client education, taking the time to explain treatment approaches and provide practical strategies that empower clients to take an active role in their recovery and long-term health.
Fluent in both English and Russian, Mark is able to connect with a diverse range of clients, fostering a comfortable and supportive environment built on trust, communication, and collaboration. He believes that effective treatment goes beyond the session itself, and he works closely with each individual to ensure they feel informed, confident, and supported throughout their wellness journey.
Outside of the clinic, Mark enjoys staying active and engaged in a variety of pursuits. He can often be found hiking in the Rocky Mountains, challenging himself in the gym, working on his car, or spending time with friends over board games. His passion for movement, discipline, and continuous improvement carries over into his professional life, where he is committed to helping clients achieve lasting results and an improved quality of life.
